Yin yang is an ancient philosophy, which sees the world as being formed by two opposing principles or forces; these are usually described as dark and light (or yin and yang), although many additional pairings could also be considered applicable.

Synchronous with the rise of Buddhism, Taoism rejected any uncomplimentary connotation to yin-yang, and such was its popularity that it overcame Confucian opposition.

The yin-yang concept is not seen as a symbol of conflict, but one of balance and harmony. The two opposites complement each other; even in the case of conflict, there needs to be balanced by only opposing forces (light and dark) and not good vs evil. Otherwise, it would not be a conflict of opposites, but a case of good vs evil, which Taoism sees as relative and meaningless.

The concept of yin-yang is also often used in Western science when explaining certain natural phenomena such as day and night (a form of yin), male and female (a form of yang), summer and winter, etc.

Dragon is one of the most important mythical creatures, considered to be the most powerful and divine creature as well as controller of all waters.

The dragon represents power, strength, wealth and good fortune. It is a positive symbol that attracts luck and prosperity. As the ruler of all aquatic creatures, the dragon can live in fire and water. It represents potent and magical powers. Dragons are associated with wisdom - perhaps because they are able to fly into the sky and witness all things. They often impart their wisdom to humans who deserve it.

Moon is the earth's only natural satellite and the second brightest object in the sky after the sun.

The moon is associated with several primal human emotions such as love, happiness, fertility, and creativity.

The ancients believed that the moon was a mirror that could reflect back all types of evil done to it by others into their original form – thus turning the evil back on itself.

The moon is also associated with unconditional love, insanity, and invisibility.

The necklace was inspired by many years of researching symbolism, myths, beliefs and legends from all over the world. It started as a personal project and now it's for sale for all fans of mythology.
